Bronte Holland was seriously injured training for this years Australian Supercross
Championship. He broke several vertebrae including his C7 which was broken badly,
bruising his spinal cord, leaving him without feeling from the chest down.
Bronte was a serious contender for last years motocross and supercross nationals;
placing in the top five consistently week in week out.
Southside Promotions together with friends, fans and sponsors of Brontes have been
working together to put together the night in Cranbourne; on the same weekend the
Australian Motocross Titles comes to Wonthaggi in Victoria.
The basis of the night is to bring corporate Australia, the motocross industry and
close friends of Bronte together to raise money for a great cause and help give him
the best opportunity possible to prepare for life outside of rehab and eventually get
back on his feet again.
As racers, spinal injuries are constantly on our minds, seeing Bronte tackle his latest
obstacle with the determination that he has is nothing short of inspirational.
On the night there will be finger food, beer and wine provided as well as a DJ.
Thanks to many supporters of Bronte there is some awesome gear up for auction
including jersey’s, goggles and riding gear from names like Chad Reed, Ricky
Carmichael, James Stewart, Travis Pastrana, Brian Deegan and many more,
including Australia’s own motocross supercross and FMX heroes like the Marmont’s,
Craig Anderson, Cheyne Boyd, Dan Reardon, Mitch Hoad, Bilko and Sincs. Thanks to
Yamaha Australia there will also be a brand new GYTR kitted TTR50 up for grabs!
The event also marks Bronte’s planned first week out of the rehab centre which has
been his temporary home since the end of February.
