Honda's Nathan Crawford Zoning In On Qld State Title -ozzy go- Racedeadline.com.au

Place to seal second overall for the day, just one point away from
Honda privateer Nathan Crawford may not be a well known
name just yet, however he is certainly running with this country's
best riders at both a state and national level. Toowoomba based
Crawford now sits in second place in the Queensland Motocross
Championships Pro Open class, just behind Daniel Reardon,
after an impressive round two finish at Rockhampton. Crawford
also finished strongly at round three of the national championship
series held in Tasmania last month, moving himself up to ninth
on the ladder. Crawford's Rockhampton romp was a solid
performance and, coupled with his podium result at the opening
state round at Townsville, he is now well placed for a top two
finish in the Queensland's premiere motocross championship.
"I just couldn't get the jump I needed and was always mid pack
rounding the first turn," said the up and comer. "I made it hard
for myself but I am pleased with the way I raced and think that
every time I get on the bike, my speed and fitness improve." At
Penguin's national round, Nathan was able to get a great start
coming out of the first turn into third place. By the end of the
first lap he had moved into second position and was charging
hard in the company of such esteemed riders as Daryl Hurley,
Jay Marmont and Cody Copper. ozzy go to the full story
