
A: I actually missed racing last year due to an injury sustained I the Supercoss at the
start of the year, which resulted in an ankle reconstruction.
Q: Do you feel you are in the running for one of the top spots on the 2007 series?
A: I feel that I am in the running. I feel that everything is starting to come together.
After missing a whole season in Motocross and this being my frist full season on a 450,
I feel that Cool Air Racing and I are doing a fantastic job. I am really excited about the
next few rounds coming up. I am a lot fitter and my speed in increasing every day.
Q: Are you carrying any injuries or do you feel fit in the lead up to Round 5 of the Nokia
MX Nationals at Raymond Terrace on 20 May 2007?
A: No injuries and I'm fit and ready to take them all on.
Q: Which riders do you think are emerging as your toughest competitors throughout this
series?
A: Daniel Reardon is definitely a step above everyone and the other three riders are
Daryl Hurley, Craig Anderson and Jay Marmont. These are the guys who I have to gain
points on at every round.
Q: If you weren't a professional rider, what do you think you would do?
A: Some sort of sales person, because I can sell ice to an Eskimo.
Q: What would you say to your son or daughter in the future if they said they wanted to
ride motorbikes competitively?
A: I would back them 100% just like my parents did with me. I would also try to teach
them everything I know and not make the same mistakes that I might have made in the
past.
Q: What is your favourite sport to watch, outside motocross? A: NRL
Q: Do you have any pre-race rituals? A: Yes but I'm not giving my secrets away.
Q: Favourite track, anywhere, on which to compete?
A: I have two favourite tracks; Penguin in Tasmania and Echo Valley in Toowoomba.
Q: `Favourite food? A: Mexican and my mum's caramel tarts.
Q: Big night out or quiet night in? A: Big night out.
Q: What improvements, if any, would you like to see in your performance for the rest
of the 2007 series? A: To keep gaining speed. It is the one Championship that I haven't
won and I would love to win it.
