Scott Columb MXLarge image of the day

New Zealand have two riders racing in the World MX1 championship and while Josh Coppins leads the series his countryman Scotty Columb fights for every point possible. In Mantova last weekend Scotty scored a point with his 20th place finish in the second moto. Riding for the TEKA Suzuki team the kiwi is doing his best to move up the World rankings. We thought it might be a good idea to give one of the hard working privateers a little of the glory. In our special weekly tribute to the privateers here is an action shot of Columb flying high.

In his second season on the Grand Prix circus Columb is now 31st in the world after four rounds. He has three points from his 19th place finish in the second moto in Spain and his 20th place in the second moto in Italy.

Like his fellow New Zealander Coppins he is a friendly guy who works hard and is chasing his dream.
