Toowoomba's Echo Valley MX track hosted Round six of the Nokia
MX Nationals over the weekend with Toowoomba Honda's Nathan
Crawford again posting a top 10 result in the Pro Open class and
cementing himself in the top seven in the series after six rounds.
The Echo Valley track proved to be the most challenging on the
circuit so far, with rain falling all Saturday making the red clay
surface a quagmire and making the 30 minute motos a true test
of man and machine. Toowoomba Honda's Nathan Crawford rode
strong in both moto's to finish 8th overall for the day.
After not finishing the last round due to injury, Crawford got his
season back on track and shook off the cobwebs to post 8 -10
moto scores and to round the day out in eighth overall and
seventh in the championship. Both motos saw Crawford pick his
way through traffic after average starts to secure the top 10
finishes and he was reasonably pleased with his efforts.
"The track was really difficult today, so I am happy with my
results. I still don't think I am back to 100% after my crash at the
South Australian round but I kept myself in the points chase and
