Ferris, who’s star has been on the rise all season, sensationally
thrust himself into the spot light with a resounding second place
finish in the second moto of the day and prove once and for all
that he is the real deal.

Despite qualifying in a lowly 13th position, Ferris didn’t let that
bother him and in fact took confidence from it. "I tried to pump
out three fast laps and I crashed on everyone of them. So if I
was still 13th fastest and had a little lay down each time, I knew
with a good start I was fast enough to run up the front," Ferris
commented.

Moto one burst out of the blocks and Ferris rounded the first turn
inside the top 10 and he simply went to work. He lap he picked
off riders, including several more established factory riders, with
ease and was soon in the top five. That charge bought him all the
way to third and closing on.... click on ozzy go to the full story
