Bubba may have one hand on the title but Chad Reed is finally over pre season injuries and hopeful of coming out on top -ozzy go- mcnews.com.au

Reinvigorated after a welcome 3-week break from competition,
Australia’s Supercross superstar Chad Reed is looking forward to
giving this weekend’s 14th round of the Amp’d Mobile AMA
Supercross Series at Detroit everything he has to offer. The
Australian rider has recently been able to edge closer and closer
to the current points leader, American James Stewart, after a
long recovery from a massive practice crash in early January.
The accident left Reed with massive injuries and the recovery
period cost his championship campaign dearly. He was unable to
practice or test between rounds or the first 3 months of this year.
The 2007 Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross series, which also
incorporates the race for FIM World SX GP honours, is
approaching the business end of proceedings, and Reed has
emerged as the only rider that is theoretically capable of
snatching back the title that he previously won in 2004. He trails
James Stewart by 35 points, and there is a maximum of 75 on
offer across the course of the final three rounds. “It will be good
to get back on the bike this weekend and keep trying to make
back points on James, it’s a big ask but racing is very
unpredictable. All it’s going to take is for James to make one
mistake and when he does I’ll be there to make the most of it,”
said Reed. click on ozzy go to the full story on mcnews
